being oldschool.
not wanting one's track to be ripped and warezed in 128kbps.
not giving a shit about the internet.

pow! i do like digital releases in good quality though.

e: i think what i love most about music on vinyl is... you can touch it.

Most shit does come out digital these days. There are a few hanging on to the vinyl only idea but that crew is shrinking fast.

I've searched for Clandestine Cultivation releases and can't find the digitals anywhere :( Terribly upsetting...

Haha, this is such a deja vu.
Me and a ton of other DJ's hating on CD releases, we hated CD dj's so much we almost had physical fights with them.

Same shit different decade.

Get you shit together and fix up, embrace the future today

consume consume consume.

i want all these tunes now, and if i can't have them, i'm going to throw a tantrum.

music isn't always about how you consume it.

Why would you release digital if you can make enough money selling vinyl?:? Big up all the vinyl only labels :P

I don't really know enough about it, but I do enjoy seeing a DJ mix with vinyls live.

However, I think digital is also quite good for convenience more than anything. Means you can listen to the MP3 while you wait over the weekend for the vinyl!

but why break even on vinyl alone when you can make extra cash for putting some files on a server :)... in this day and age if ya don't sell it to em they gonna get it anyway...

music enjoyment I don't personally feel in this genre has to be restricted to listening in a club in front of a well known dj... I love my vinyl & digital any time of the day :) [In it for the love of the music, never mixed the stuff]

I think high quality vinyl rips are prob more common in the pirate world then sharing of legal digital releases.

It pisses me off to be honest. I moved to digital only about 4-5 years ago so won't even buy a CD. Physical media is *Dead* to me. I understand the culture from a DJ perspective, but there is a lot of people who just want to listen to the music yet support the artists/scene at the same time. People going on about a pure sound and whatnot dont realise that its a million times worse when the only copy of a track you have is a radio rip.

yeop thats what I have been doing... was about to do them all again into a lossless codec, a load of them I will have to anyway they do sound good, but take hourrss/days/weeks and some releases I missed on vinyl so flac's would be awesome...

The Vinyls do sound bloody good, but the recordings loose the sparkle at which point the digital clean releases (especially with my sound card) do sound better/cleaner so options on purchasing are always nice.
