The M-Audio Delta 10/10 LT will NOT fit into a new mac pro......

I had to find that out the hard way

I have the EMU 0202.

Pros: good sound quality, plenty of inputs, brilliant software package.
Cons: I wish it had an output volume controller, also can precarious if unplugged whislt on, gave me the blue screen of death a few times.

Overall, does the job, sound quality's pretty rad, decent buy, a budget option instead of the 0404 (I think?)

I read the review on the soundcard i currently have which is a maya 44 usb. It says that it doesn't boast 24bit sound, what exactly does this feature mean. Simply better sounding or can someone describe it further? thanks

Are there also soundcards that can function as a preamp(with good quality) I know this could sound really dumb and stupid but i know shit about these things.

I'm looking for a usb soundcard and after reading this topic i still can't decide which i should get. I cant choose between the emu 0404 and edirol ua 25ex. Which one is the better choise, latency wise? Also I couldn't find anywhere if the edirol, just like the 0404, can't run asio and multimedia drivers at the same time. What do you guys think? Which should i get?

i use a creative soundblaster x-fi platinum fatal1ty champion series sound card (whew! how many more words could creative cram on the end of that to try and make it sound cool, lol) - it's crap, dont get one. the drivers are especially awful. I got it becuase i liked the mode selection software that comes with it so you can use Entertainment mode for films and Gaming mode for games and Audio creation mode for producing, but the mode selector is currently non functional and until i can be botherd to replace it, i am stuck in audio mode. Does anyone else have a similar, over priced, mass market card they would like to complain about?

Why do you want a USB card, for portabillity? Because if you'll be using it with a laptop, i would recommend a pcmcia sound card, as they are highly portable.

I have a laptop, some decent monitors and some headphones. I wanted to hook my nice new monitors up to my laptop so I can make some bangin tunes and filthy beats just like all you other badmen!
I was looking heavily at the Emu 0202 usb, then someone told me the master out level couldn't be adjusted? This seemed silly to me as I didn't wanna be adjusting the independant levels on my monitors all the time, so I went and bought the lexicon alpha as I figured this would solve my woes.
Did it fuck! I don't know why, but the master out and headphone out are linked together, with a +4 dB gain on the output! This seems silly to me as I'd expect an external soundcard to have a half decent independant headphone amp, separate from an -infinite dB to 0dB 'volume' adjuster on the main out?
Am I the only person that wants such a thing? And why is there conflicting info about the 0202 usb? Help?

And the initial offical verdict is *drum roll* that this is the best sounding device I have ever, ever heard. I loved my Benchmark, but I am now more than happy to sell it. Fuck me. Ridiculous.

Hi guys, sorry about last post, very gay indeed.

I'm honestly looking for some feedback on either of these cards

SWISSONIC TS22PCI
TERRASONIQ TS22PCI

If anyone had actualy used one and could let me know if this will work well for my requirements (Reason4 + Random Rewire) it would be Truly appreciated.

I know I may be asking a bit of these budget cards, but I have seen them bundled with Reason4 by thomman.de (reasonable retailer methinks)

If anyone has had any experiance with either of these and could let me know that would be great.

kthanks x
