Dunno if I was too drunk to notice or what, but didn't get or detect any aggy vibes whatsoever, just the luck of the draw I guess. It was rammed and that and wasn't always ideal but I know I pushed to the front a lot of times without getting pissed off/pissing anyone off but i did drop my jumper on the floor about 90 times!!! Trouble with skanking/not using cloakroom. big up Skream withholdong the identitiy of Magnetic Man!!!! Big up Kromestar/Ironsoul!!! That bouncy one with the car horn speeding by is sick!!! As for the nutters inside, It was Friday 13th!!!!

these stories are a little unsettling. no place for anything but good vibes at fwd normally. mad about the queues. Is FWD getting regular listings now then? or is it all strictly word of mouth?

As some one has alredy said, this trend is gonna continue with the scene becoming more populer. It's only to be expected. I didn't experience the blade, but there was bare tossers there. Yellow track suit top man, clown people, self elevated fashion slags who can't find it with in them selves to be friendly, people insicure and over compensating with attitude, people being way to cool for school, thinking there the most important person in the world becouse they've found the new and happening sound of london man.

Or maybe i was in a weird mood. :D :D :D :D

bah...

i been threatened with a knife before.

nothing's ever come of it. i was too fucked to realise how serious the threat was until i was walkin back home... i even thought that for half the night i was just being paranoid (first time i had smoked for 3 n half months and it did not agree with me at all) and i couldnt for the life of me remember what he looked like. big n black. narrows it down...

mustve been the way i was skankin. im not used to the crowds so i was probably pushin a few people to get me space. plus my skinhead may not appeal to some people... i gave up skankin in the end. :|

i probably would never report it at FWD cos i would hate to see it closed down. but to be honest... if somebody is sober enough for a quick action... probably best to get the fucker reported.

or why not call your entourage

EDIT!!!!!!
i beg none of u listen to me. FWD is good vibes. im just a clumsy fuck. ALL U NEED TO KNOW THE GOOD VIBES OF FWD!!!

Dubstep and FWD getting covered in Observer, Telegraph and even The Times. Now I don't think all those extra bodies were Times readers but the wide media coverage means more people, good and bad, turning up. It's no longer a strictly underground word of mouth thing. Boom - you didn't look like you were on top form on Friday, did you think the vibe was a little less fun than usual?

All things considered the mood was darker on Friday. Can't do nothing about popularity and queues but maybe the knife thing needs thinking about. I'll see what the next one is like...

To be honest I was a little constrained as I took a dubstep virgin and he was not really letting loose but it meant for a change I spoke to loads of people rather than just jumping up and down so it was all good for me. All about Youngsta again for me!

Firstly - the night was the largest for me this year, even beat DMZ for me. Benga, Yunx and then Skream were large.
I too got there at 11:00 and there was a queue, and when I left at 2:15 there still was a queue. Figure there were a lot of first timers, which is to be encouraged surely, but it can only mean that either its as rammed the same way every week, or it moves to a bigger venue.

At one point in the Skream set the bass was totally vibrating my body, clothes, drink etc - it really is to be experienced.

5 full rewinds on the first 5 tunes on the Skream set, then the next one was several tunes later, which was appreciated - nice ending to the set with Give it Back - wish I'd stayed for N-Type as it took me ages to find a cab anyway.

My gripe is one probably not fully supported here, but I have beef with people who just stand on the floor stock-still even when everyone around is going off on a tune. Whats the point. I think this was causing agro, and because it was so rammed, the only route from the floor to the bar was past people. I didn't drink for 2 hours straight as too much hassle getting back.

Apologies for everyone I nudged in the back  especially M2J as I was standing behind him for a while.

Bigup Yunx and D-Man for the guest pass

That's good positive feedback and a good point - anyone who was standing still on the dancefloor when Yunx or Skream was on has failed to grasp Dubstep! I was still bobbing around and making bass noises the next morning just remembering stuff!

edit: "Making bass noises"? FFS I am over 35!! :D
