hearing test?
i'm gonna get my hearing tested next week. not all that excited bout it cause i feel like i've been careless/stupid and suffered some damage over the years.
anybody feel like their hearing aint what it used to be or ever gotten tested? totally scared to find out what's up, but it'll most likely be a wake up call for me to start protecting myself. anyway, wish me luck.

Best of luck mate, hope it all goes ok. Think this is why I generally prefer outdoor parties - the sounds got more space to disburse and you can wander off and chill out away from the rigs if you want.
I played at the Concorde over here and had to ask the soundman to turn down the monitor - the guy who went on before me must have been fucking deaf if he needed it that loud.
Once you get the all clear, invest in some earplugs and thank your lucky stars.

earplugs earplugs earplugs earplugs
i've been wearing mine in every club/loud situation for about 4 years now. Never have that high-pitched wine outside the club/lying in bed.
I dare anyone to wear earplugs for a whole nite, then take them out when you're stood on the dancefloor - you won't be able to get them back in your lugs quick enough, trust me.
Sorry a bit off topic but something I feel really strongly about - if you value your hearing get some plugs.

but you right tho its all about the plugs!
(though wet tissue in the ear also works to certain extent lol)
isit? fuck me man, nowadays if I stand next to a speaker and take a plug out, it feels like I'm stabbing myself in the ear with a knife, actual physical pain.DeepThought wrote:i dunno man - i like takin em out now and again to get the full force then put em back in again a little later..ThinKing wrote:I dare anyone to wear earplugs for a whole nite, then take them out when you're stood on the dancefloor - you won't be able to get them back in your lugs quick enough, trust me.
