If he genuinely listens to D&B and possibly other genres then perhaps it's actually inspiring to him.

Believe it or not, Lil Jon wasnt always womp womp....in general southern hip hop wasn't bad until like 2005 or 2006 or whatever it was. Around "Laffy Taffy" time.

the snoop dogg tune was played in all the largest hip hop radio markets in the world....heavily that week as well. thats millions of people that heard that tune.

you can bet that every a&r in hip hop was googling chase and status and dubstep too. where this is all going this summer?.... who knows.....lets see what happens.

xxl magazine put it in its bangers section. thats another few hundred thousand hits on that site alone....

OOOKKKAAAYYYYYYY!!!!

Definately not excited. Any tunes made by American Rappers is bound to be shit. I can't see them getting the whole scene and what it's about.

As an American, I agree.

Case in point: Snoop turned a really great dubstep tune into a mediocre rap song, pissing off both dubstep and Snoop fans, of which there is little overlap.

With hip hop (read as "rap without attitude") on the other hand -- anything is possible -- and some great sounds are already being created by mashing the two.

WTF!!! Lil Jon is a waste of good studio equipment!!!!

New RAP sucks...Gimme the old school Hip Hop (Gang Starr, Pete Rock, ATCQ, De La Soul, Wu Tang, Heiroglyphics, Freestyle Fellowship, etc anytime!

I'd like to see DJ Z trip make some...His Sound Clash tune is almost Dubstep. A Good friend of mine.

LOL @ people dismissing stuff before they've heard it.

Lil Jon's done some decent stuff and he knows how to control a moshpit - I'll hear him out.
