Give your mixes that big studio sound! Record's effects and mixing console bring instant million dollar sheen to your tracks.

Though the SSL style mixer looks cool i'd remain skeptical about the audio engine until I hear it.

This is what I was thinking and posted on another forum. At first I thought it was just a way for them to make more money, but somebody replied with a good point- that they can market record to people in bands who wouldn't need any of the Reason modules and therefore can charge less for the program, which would surely result in more sales and market saturation.

I'm a little skeptical of the program, but it does look pretty great. I've been thinking of moving fully to Cubase recently, but I might wait until I've tried this before I decide.

THE mixdown button finally released to the public! Worth it for that alone IMO. :6:

I'm stoked :P Signed up for beta testing and cant wait to see what she has under the hood.
Funny how propellerhead has kind of turned into a love it or hate it thing because they do original stuff. I mean as far as recording what else is this intuitive? I just hate those GUI's where it feels like your doing a spreadsheet or something work related, this looks fun to use and I bet it will sound just as good as anything else out there.

Pretty disappointed tbh. I was hoping for VST support. Still, instant record is a plus.

i like what i see for now.
especially the ssl-console looks awesome. this will be a great improvement on the workflow for experienced reason-users, esp. when it comes to the mixdown. (instant access to each channels compressor, eq and so on.)

i dont care about the missing vst-support. it´s part of the concept and "record" will probably be as rock-solid as reason.

But alas, no vst or au support. I have signed up for beta testing, but probably wont be migrating to this anytime soon!

+1 i'm gonna beta test it to. But indeed i don't think i will get rid of cubase for this... Expected alot more.. Vsti's support is something they already said would NEVER be implemented because Reason is suppost to offer all anyway. I really don't understand why people keep hoping for it.. They said it like a million times already!

As for the dongle... why? why? why?

"It reverts to demo mode if you lose internet connection"

What a stupid thing to do. Instantly put off by this.

But that SSL mixer man.

*sigh*
Keep on keeping on...

Fisher Price release "Record- My First DAW", including crappy dongle protection, and *edit* multiprocessor support (which is cool)

See no point
Completely underwhelmed
Reason rewired in Live 8 FTW

I know its not for me, and I understand Propelerhead wants their slice of the recording software pie. This is basically a Reason add-on. I just think that for the money there are much better value solutions.

Actually, I'm just sore that there's no VST support :D

ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NO!!!! This is even more stupid than the Spore DRM fiasco. No way in hell am I wasting a USB port to run a program. Propellerhead just lost all respect from me.
