Dubstep Producer's Call-Beatport Depeche Mode remix contest!

Post by lhd » Tue May 12, 2009 11:44 pm

I love Depeche Mode, if you don't, you should. Beatport is hosting a Depeche Mode remix contest with a gaggle of dope ass prizes, not the least of which is NI's new Maschine, which I would kill to get my hands on right now! I'm sure that since it's Beatport it's gonna mostly retarded ass four on the floor crap(imo), so I want to invite everyone to put Dubstep on the map with this rare opportunity to remix a Depeche Mode tune and get it released!! Let's do it up for the Dubstep community!!! And maybe post our tunes in this thread!! Here's aa link for all of my Google handicapped friends.

Big up!!! This could be tons of fun!

I was interested in doing this then I saw that these douchebags are charging $3.99 for the remix parts. WTF is that?

THIS.

It's too bad really. They have had lots of remix comps but they charge for all of them. Sometimes you can get some "free" stems but they are almost always crap.

Pay for parts = fail IMO

I've entered some choice contests by much smaller labels/artists that DON'T charge for the remix parts - why do someone as big as Depeche Mode feel the need?

I wouldn't have minded paying but I just can't get into that song or the vocals.

That Horace Andy remix comp looks good. Definitely getting those stems.

Same with that Lynk and Kemo(*edit dead confederate, I couldn't find the url for the Lynk & Kemo pack) remix pack.
