LDN - 29.05.09 Tech/Dub/IDM - Pod Corsica Studios

Post by j-loop » Sat Apr 25, 2009 3:11 pm

Two rooms of tuned Funktion One sound and a cross section of bleeding edge and legendary producers with creative, underground DJ talent.

HENRY CULLEN (HYDRAULIX/SUF/APEX/ROUTEMASTER/MUTATE TO SURVIVE)

The Global techno master aka DAVE the Drummer and a huge 36 different other personas, has expanded his repertory considerably with genre bending releases on his own Mutate To Survive label, plays, as his given name, a set of twisted minimal funk, warm bass slung house, deep tech house and popping electro breaks.

MIXMASTER MORRIS (Big Chill/Ninja Tune)

Mixmaster Morris is a pioneer of the ambient and chillout music genres. He blends music from all genres and locations to interpret the theme of Altermodern. With seminal releases as Irresistible Force on electronic giants Ninja Tune, Harthouse and Rising High, bookings across the globe from BC Canada to The Far East, we are truly blessed to be in presence of a legend.

MORPHAMISH (AUDIODACITY, LABRAT AUDIOCHEMICALS)

Morphamish has been blasting his mild altering music out of sound systems for the past ten years. Under the names Morph, Sola Perplexus, and latterly as the producer in the group Double Helix, this music has spanned techno, electro, breaks, hiphop, dnb, hardtek and dubstep.
As well as holding residencies at Pillbox and Obscene, and guesting at numerous events such as Dogma, UTI, Substance, Curios, Pedigree Skum, Tronic, Dissident, React, Confusion and Jakn, he has supported the likes of Neil Landstrumm, Dave Tarrida, Daniel Benavente, Mark Hawkins, Ray Keith and Boxcutter. He has previous releases on Crystal Distortion’s Labrat Audiochemicals, Crunk’s Not Dead, Intonations, and his own Audiodacity label. He’s enjoyed Radio 1 support from Mary Ann Hobbes, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stevens, One World, Vic Galloway, and been included on the Radio 1 Best of Unsigned Podcast.
Morphamish returned to club performance this year with a vengeance, and has been unleashing mutating rump-shaking live sets up and down the country. Lately he intertwines bass-line heavy fat techno and electro with fresh energetic dubstep and breakbeat. Plus you never know, you may get the odd smattering of jungle or some anything goes madness. The new name he has adopted reflects a return to the spirit of the dance-floor satisfying Morph sound, but with a new expressive bass hungry party time twist.
