The problem I guess is change. On the desktop who cares I could spare a port. On a macbook there are only 2 usb ports, I got 2 controllers. The setup has been awesome, dont need or want another 5 usb ports. I would gladly settle for a dong with a USB port.
But whatever, as long as you only got to dongle or sign in online on startup I think it will be ok.
I suppose I had to get it out of my system, I'm sure by september I will be used to the idea and it wont be a big deal.

Surely you only need the constant internet connection if you don't have the dongle in? I genuinely don't care even the slightest bit about having to put a USB stick in to use a program like that. I've been thinking recently how I really can't be fucked to learn a new DAW and how much I love working in reason (tried ableton, cubase and fruity but didn't get much joy) and now it looks like I wont have to migrate after all. I just need to sit tight and in a few months I can upgrade to reason 4 and buy record in the same lovely bundle

I'll stick with Reason & Cubase.
