New Dubstep help

Post by nomoresteps » Mon May 18, 2009 4:57 pm

Hello all. I am not exactly new to dubstep music but I am new to dubstep music that i actually enjoy.

Untill recently I have only ever heard dubstep music when I am out at clubs and to be honest the club tunes are not my thing. The other day my opinion changed, when a friend introduced me to the less club friendly dubstep, artists such as Kode 9 & The Spaceape and Burial.

Ever since hearing these artists I have been looking around for some more chilled dubstep music. So, my question is has anyone got any recommendations for artsit similar Kode 9 adn Burial.

flying lotus is always a winner and people seem to pair him with kode9/burial etc.

i personally would recommend anything by digital mystikz or mala and a lot of loefah's stuff. check out all the DMZ/Deep Medi releases. These aren't on the slightly more garage/2steppy vibe as burial etc but are equally as deep

although not dubstep, flying lotus is still definately worth mentioning.

chilled out dubstep though, try darkstar. Infact anything from Hyperdub (Kode9's record label)
