Got potential but the vocals arent the most interesting bits in the world. Still strictly mixtape material, but this could definately evolve a little and become siiiiiick.

It was a remix I only took the violin sample everything else was my production. And although I can't see the youtube link my guess is he is referring to Ayo Technology

I think the Murs over Madhouse tune ist not bad. But it's hard to make something wrong with this tune

They should get Crime Mob on that shit... i think some crunk MC's would sound better over Dubstep.

Those tunes aren't bad for what they are, but I'm not a huge fan of any MC over dubstep. 90% of the time the beats are good enough to stand on their own and having someone rhyming over 'em doesn't bring anything to the song.

This goes the same for DJs who use effects on mixers. It's not the worst thing in the world, but most of the time you're really not helping the tune at all.

This is definitely a big look for dubstep. What I find with so many 'elitists' on this forum is that they hate new people getting in on the scene. Yes fair enough some of us may have been listening to this stuff for years and for new people to come and act like they know all about the scene and the tunes but don't know the grounding of it can be annoying. But what attracted me to dubstep was how the whole scene was so welcoming and friendly and catered for everyones taste with good vibes and pounding sub. Why don't you want more people to fall in love with the music as we have? A shit load of new producers will crop up and there will be a multitude of waste coming out, but more music being released will mean that there will be more of the good stuff aswell. The good thing about music is that there is always room for improvement. Some of the tracks on the mixtape may be a bit weak but with time I'm sure the collabs will get better. My only worry is that maybe it's all happening a bit too fast and a more gradual progression into the global scene would be better...too many of these discussions on here...

Init - I've always thought that Joker's beats (being kinda grime influenced anyway) would be a real pull to some US artists, particularly more DirtySouth style.

I reckon any of Luda, Busta, Lil John, or maybe even someone like Twister for the more rowdy/club end of Dubstep, and some more soulful style vocals clearly work on the more dub / reggae influenced stuff. Look at Round the World Girls, or Mala's In Love with you thing. The "Totally Unauthorized" ting that MRK1 and Chimpo did last year gives a really good example of how different vocals can work on different styles of beats.

I think this is exciting stuff - just wait till dubstep producers and Hiphop MCs start actually going into the studio together (rather than just vocaling an existing tune) and we're sure to get some really good tracks coming out (probably some shite too, but thats how it goes!).

your chatting shit.. a good vocal over a good beat is a good tune.

the vex'd and rustie/joker tunes work so fucking well with the u.s vocals. amazing. i love grime mcs over dubstp too, no doubt about it, but they aint mutually exclusive. yr talking nonsense - when you say it "doesnt work" , whats that based on?? nothing but a taste judgement on your behalf, there is nothing "wrong" with them, eg they are in key and fit the time signatures well.
