Chase & Status leave Ram and sign to Mercury Records

Post by djtiesticles » Wed May 20, 2009 3:59 pm

Ram Records are proud to announce that Chase & Status signed a major record deal with Mercury Records (Universal) this week (18/5/2009).

"Chase & Status would like to take this opportunity to say that they are hugely appreciative of Ram Records' efforts surrounding their formative years and especially the release of their debut album "More Than A Lot" which has sold in excess of 50,000 units to date."

Ram Records' directors Andy C and Scott Bourne remain unwavering in their view that Chase & Status are a huge creative talent and are pleased to remain an integral part of the team moving forward.

What a terrible loss to both scenes :D

Thats a bit harsh - that's huge news for them, who wouldn't sign to Mercury Records given half the chance - It shows how far they've come. Stop the hating!

good for them.

it's been a joy to witness this forum gradually deteriorate thanks to all the haters and bedroom shit talkers who love to take cheap shots at people who've actually accomplished something. thanks for making dubstepforum a little more irrelevant with each passing day. :(

I just feel bad for Ram, they've clearly gone for the cash because they were getting enough coverage through Ram Records. Waste of an awesome production duo.

they make shit dnb, and the dubstep is wack too.

pendulum part two you say? they've sounded like pendulum for ages anyway.

fair play though, they're raking in the cash now, good luck to them in the future i say.

I think all of you "haters" really still depend on your mummy's & puppy's pocket money. When you start depending on your own, when you have bills to pay, food to buy, you'll see what the world is. It's fucking though! Especially if you don't want to die in some small office...

Grow up :!:

C&S are one hell of dnb & dubstep producers, and I wish them all the luck and hope that they'll still do some good music.
