No, no don't use dubstep specific packs, etc, make your own and use different styles, that keeps the style diverse..

I Dont agree with using loops

plus if you was to use them samples in a tune you will soon notice so have loads of other producers and you will just be rinsing out the same sounds which gets boring

make your own its more creative

definitely not a fan, I think the best sample kits are ones that aren't genre specific, or a different genre than that you are attempting to create

If someone who is new to producing uses Sample packs instead of eJay then go for it. Past learning the basics I don't think they are much use though (that's genre specific sample packs, obviously I still rape the Vengeance packs :D )
Out Now:
DD005 - Retrospect
MRS029 - Connected/Lovin' You
DAR010 - Santogold - Shove It (remix) 12"
SET003 - Bob Marley - Is This Love (remix) 12"
Echodub Loves Volume 2 - White Room
FTW Records Digital - Panic Room
FTW Free Compilation - Get Up (a.k.a Symphony)

I use:

Sounds I have sampled from vinyl
Sounds I have sampled from synths
Softsynth generated drumsounds
Sounds from samplepacks (Trax Source Even)

Who cares? With all of the EQing, Effecting, and Layering, it sounds different.

How is scouring the web or a vinyl collection any different than buying a samplepack other than being less laborious?

Where do you think all the samples on the web are from?

Answer: Vinyl, Synths, Softsynths or Samplepacks

I use every means possible to make the craziest thing I can possibly make. If I sat around making every FX sample from scratch or programing the high hats for every aspect of my tunes I would never finish tunes as fast and efficiently. If it was'nt for break beat loops allot of my favorite styles of music would sound really really lifeless. Loops do have there place in production, there is no denying.
