psychedelic dubstep...feedback please!! (Sun In Aquarius)320

Post by sun_in_aquarius » Sat May 23, 2009 8:15 am

heya!
This is a track 90% or so complete...not sure really what genre it is, thought some dubsteppers might find a familiar element or 2...??? would love to get some feedback and any areas you think it could be improved...maybe:
-too busy/not busy enough?
-arrangment?too long/short in sections or as a whole.
-mix?
...looks like im going to record some spacy style electric guitar for the breakdown courtesy of a friend so if u are interested in a demo when its complete let us know!
any feedback would be much appreciated and i would generally be stoked to know what u guys think as i dont really post on forums a great deal as i dont really know where 2 put it!
peace
jake, Oz

Nice choon man. I am really feeling this. Elements of OTT, autechre, and italian deep dub. Nice appliance for the late night trip. I think on 1st listen that the female spoken-word would sound incredible if mutated in bombaman style, but hey... never imitate.

You gonna put in some space guitar parts?? yes... I recommend listeing to anything by Steve Hillage (GONG, System 7, 777, System 7.3, The Orb) for inspiration. Good luck man.

Would love a 320 of this now and one when done if possible.

sounds very well produced! im not into this kinda thing, i mean i love a bit of psy trance and psychedelic-tinged but otherwise normal dubstep but i cant really offer much feedback tbh! other than it sounds nice and you're doing a good job?

no worries brutha! been getting some good feedback from friends and so on prob gonna add some more rythmical elements to get it driving a bit more and maybe warming up the kick and bass a bit and possibly shortening it...

sounds like you got three or four tracks here! 10 minutes is kind of long, however, i really dig the tracks. only feedback i have is to maybe split it up into several tracks whenever the core sound of the track changes. dig it dude, especially the sample at the very beginning that sounds like squishy fucking :P
