i like samples, i have fucking gigs of them, I quite frequently chop samples up to get ideas, nothing wrong with using them as long as your not sticking tunes together like ejay, i dont wanna pay for them tho

this basically

not heard these (and never knowingly will either) but yeah, fuck it, use them if u want.

but...

... if u r just using em to make dubstep then whats the point? its already dubstep (or, at least thats what it says on the label).

the whole point of sampling, from the start, has been taking stuff out of context and re-appropriating it. so, yeah, it might (only might) b interesting to use these if u make folk music, or big band jazz, but where's the creativity in just rehashing it as the same genre?

its like arguing that colouring in a picture in a kids colouring book is on the same artistic level as creating an original painting.

of course, if u cut up the colouring book up, stick it on an inflatable giraffe and leave it in a shopping mall overnight u might make somethign new from it (tho not necessarily good). but i'm not convinced thats what most ppl who buy loop packs like this r doing. there r so many sources 4 samples, why bother with these?

but thats cool if it makes u happy

and it only serves 2 make my music seem more original and interesting by contrast.
