Dub Terror LP & Shinobi EP Releases

Post by godflesh fiend » Mon May 25, 2009 1:31 pm

I tried to score the new Dub Terror "Shinobi" EP the other day at my local record store but sadly they didn't have it........they did however have the new Dub Terror LP!

This is a nice healthy mix of Roots Reggae & Dubstep. I've only heard the first side so far and it's nice stuff. It features Warrior Queen and a few others I can't remember at this time???

Anyway this is good shit......check it!

Here's the lowdown on the album.................

"Following three vinyl EPs and several limited-edition singles, Dubterror moves up with his self-titled debut album, released by Universal Egg in May 2009.

Dubterror grew his roots producing and playing selecta to the finest dub sound systems and Dubstep DJs on the scene, as well as building remixes for dark electronic pioneer John Foxx, legendary producer Adrian Sherwood and electronic dub masters Zion Train, among others.

The self-titled debut album assembles and distorts the lines of roots-inspired sounds with future-end production techniques and soundscapes. Exclusive vocal support comes from artists like Warrior Queen, Echo Ranks and Brother Culture. Guitars by Stephen Wilkinson a.k.a. Bibio, recently signed to Warp Records."

“Dubterror has been developing his skills around the sound-system circuit for the past few years and breaks out on this release as one of the leading engineers on the scene”.

Nice folk to have support from!

I have now had the pleasure of listening to the whole album and it's great stuff indeed.

I'm in Edinburgh so sadly won't be at the album launch.........but do come up to Edinburgh if you get the chance mate!

Fine album. The best track for me is the Spying Glass/Horace Andy cover - retitled Mr Terror - with the ace auto-tune vocal.
