Mala DJ sets

Post by dj ill kid 505 » Wed May 27, 2009 5:11 am

I've never seen Mala play live before, but I'll see him on Friday in Denver. What is it like?

IMO Hes one of the best there is, and plays a full spectrum of QUALITY dubstep every time, he is exceptionally good at building it to a point where the crowd can groove out to the simplest beats, and/or leaving people to stand in awe not knowing what to do about the sound that is presented before them.

Only seen him twice but both times he was excellent.

One of the best DJs in dubstep without question.

depends on what kind of set he plays (IMO)

seen him about 8 times, when he does a deep set it is the best dj set u can hope to hear right now in any genre (only shackleton, move d, seth troxler comes close)

otherwise its average wobblers with steady but mediocre mixing

his set at Harmonic 313's album launch party @ Plastic People has to be one of the best 60 minutes of my life so far...

simple, tight mixing & flawless selection...

very sasha-esque, his sets are subtle, bass heavy and incredibly well built up. Plus he has the best dubs around imo

from what i have heard on radio sets, he always has awesome selection, pretty good mixing and builds sets up really well. Has a good mix of deep stuff and good bangers

to be fair look at any tracklist from one of his sets

Played one of the best sets I've ever heard at FWD last year.

Sounds cheesy, but he really did take me on a journey.
