Incredibly funny... Staged or not the logistics of that stunt alone impressed me, the landing couldnt have been better!!

Inclined to agree but some of the stuff where Bruno had me in tears of laughter, far more believable than his Ali G persona. This took balls, to interview national front fascist stnuc posing as a mixed race gay man (I actually think he's a Lithuanian Jew):

that had me creasing! fair play, i wonder how many times he's got in bad situations.

id say publicity stunt for bruno not for eminem. hes way too homophobic to allow somebodies junk in his face. i mean really, would somebody who uses the word cigarette more than anyone on the planet agree to this? i think his numbnut fans would disown him if it was faked, "bad" good publicity or not.

"My bum is on your lips, my bum is on your lips and if I'm lucky you might just give it a little kiss"

It's hardly out of Eminem's comfort zone... he's a clown and likes to shock. Of course he was in on it... for a start, they would've had to rig the cable pretty exactly so it dropped on his seat (i.e. not a minder, friend or any of the other non-celebs that surround him. If it wasn't planned it was a HELL of a lucky shot (and we all know Hollywood doesn't do those).

Funny that people *still* get Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers mixed up. It might be a character that got old in 2001, but it's still just a spoof character just like Bruno, Borat or Ali G.

It was more the "hes way too homophobic to allow somebodies junk in his face" bit, tbh... it's a bit like saying Ed Norton wouldn't hang around with black people because you watched American History X.

He hangs around with Dre enough, he can't be that homophobic.

Marketing is marketing is marketing. I expect he thought it'd be pretty funny... and he's been ripping Borat off for the last 3 or 4 years, so I expect he's probably a fan.

Well, I can't really prove opinions about how somebody I don't know thinks, but the daft accent he keeps putting on his singles sounds like a cheap Borat rip off to me... and given the humour on his first couple of CDs, Sacha Baron Cohen seems like *exactly* the sort of bloke he'd find funny.

But yeah, I'm not about to prove speculation.

Eminem might be already made, but everyone needs promotion. If he didn't, he wouldn't have been in the UK pulling his trousers down in front of the paparazzi the other week. He's always been a fan of causing a scene...

all publicity is good. He has a sense of humor and has been doing loads of PR jokes recently around the world. He took part in making a fool of himself on a German TV show recently also.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

Apparently they offered this stunt to Paris Hilton and she wasnt into it but Eminem took it instead
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.
