Seeking good Arpeggiating Sampler VST
When I used to use Fruity, the built-in arpeg. was pretty cool (all the chromatic options, etc.) -
But I don't use FL any more, and haven't found a plugin so far that can do it nearly as well. Tried on KVR, no luck as of yet.
Can anyone recommend a decent VST plug that can arpeggiate samples with a fair degree of control over the arpeggiation?

Funny, some folks never get tired of the DAW wars...
To be fair, FL4 was initially a mixed package for me: however, once I started getting deeper into the functionality and learned a few tricks, some of the best stuff I've ever done resulted.
BUT - I've been a longtime user of Acid (the software that is) and have nailed down a much faster workflow when it comes to arranging/structuring tracks with it. Would I consider getting the new FLstudio? Absolutely, when surplus cash becomes a problem. I would use it as a VST host, loop and pattern generator, and for stuff like the arpeggiator and of course its stock synths.
And as usual with most things the truth lies somewhere in between what everyone here is saying; good software alone does not improve your talent, while limitations, conversely, can be excellent at instilling discipline and inspiring creativity... after all, think of all the profoundly shitty albums made on Protools vs. the supernaturally wonderful albums people have made with busted or modded mixing boards, 12-bit samplers, the Goldwave editor, stuff that can't hold a candle to today's DAWs. I've played with Ableton, PT, Cubase, and Sonar, but since Acid was the first thing I learned back with version 1.0, it's just easier for me. For now, anyway.
Anyway, we digress...

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Fanks!

As long as it's VST (or maybe even a stand-alone app) it doesn't matter since I have a couple other VST hosts besides Acid. Been playing with the OsirisXT freeware plug - it looks like it can do some neat stuff but I'm trying to get closer to those great, shimmering curtains of cascading notes that FL's arpeg. can do.what do you use for a daw?

Sadly, I don't have access to FL. My old machine running FL4 died a while back and, well, we're not supposed to talk about using crackz n' shit here...
It seems like a chromatically tuned sample arpeggiator would be something relatively easy to make as far as a VST goes - anybody here an experienced SynthEdit user who might be able to patch some modules together? No fancy GUI or anything needed.
Anybody?

in reason 4, create combinator, insert NNXT then create RPG8R, boosh- self contained arpegiator, rewire to your host, bob's mothers brother.
other than that no idea i use logic's arpegiator which is proper crap btw, or i'm just not too great at using it.

I bought Era

And it's pretty good but I find I'm usually too lazy to mess arpegiator's now haha.
