at dmz vs bomb squad last year @ third base, he played nearly all of 2003-2005 digi mystikz and mala tunes. stuff like mawo dub, and even intergalactic. that was one of my favorite sets by far.Corpsey wrote:I want to see him do a two hour set of mostly his own stuff at PP...

So when Mala isn't playing "deep", he's playing "average wobblers"?dhaywood wrote:depends on what kind of set he plays (IMO)
seen him about 8 times, when he does a deep set it is the best dj set u can hope to hear right now in any genre (only shackleton, move d, seth troxler comes close)
otherwise its average wobblers with steady but mediocre mixing
Interesting..

nah like the radio 1 mixes he has done, the red bull mix, the mixes on kiss ect.powerpill wrote:since when did Mala do radio?-Dubson- wrote:from what i have heard on radio sets, he always has awesome selection, pretty good mixing and builds sets up really well. Has a good mix of deep stuff and good bangers
to be fair look at any tracklist from one of his sets
yeah seriously, first time i saw him i literally stood dead still for the majority of it just in chilled out/euphoric/shock??? i dunno lolquidz wrote:IMO Hes one of the best there is, and plays a full spectrum of QUALITY dubstep every time, he is exceptionally good at building it to a point where the crowd can groove out to the simplest beats, and/or leaving people to stand in awe not knowing what to do about the sound that is presented before them.
Yeah with a couple deeper beats here & there.Frodo wrote:So when Mala isn't playing "deep", he's playing "average wobblers"?dhaywood wrote:depends on what kind of set he plays (IMO)

Thats what makes him a good DJ though, if the crowd is into that aggressive sound he will cater for them, if they aren't he can take you on a journey.
I reckon you should go and listen for yourself though rather than reading what people say about him on a message board, because with music everyone is going to have a different opinion and view of the same set of events no matter what.
