I don't fit the mold, so where should I go?

chat up some label heads of varying styles or djs and ask where they think your production should sit. hell i sometimes find it hard to classify or find a label for some of my stuff too. self releasing ain't really a bad thing either just the matter of promoting for yourself and such becomes a task that takes up time when you could be producing.
you should try hitting up someone like dj clever who runs offshore and djs and releases more of the leftfield stuff for some advise. he's a really chill guy and has great taste.
also there's a list on here linking a shitload of dubstep labels that if you want to go thru you can peep their myspazs and releases for style and then contact the ones whose niche you think you might fill or aspire to be on.

But yeah your stuff is pretty grubby, some label's bound to see talent. I'd sign you in less time that it takes to assign the lfo to the filter cutoff

One label that comes to mind right away based on what Ive heard of your stuff so far is Black Acre. Maybe Planet Mu as well... maybe roll through the download sites and online record stores looking for somewhat similar artists and sending to the labels they're on? Deffo post a few links in the dubs section - not as hot as it once was for label heads scanning it, but it still seems to happen.

But yeah, keep doin what you're doin... heads will hear and things will happen. You got skills for sure.

For a start .. You can't be "too musical" or "too experimental" in dubstep - theres loads of labels around pushing levels and where the sound can go, I agree with what KidLogic suggested

if you dont fit the mold than you shouldnt worry about fitting in anywhere, thus not asking where to go

edit: fantastic music! cherry blossoms is such a fresh take on the dubstep ish

Don't worry about fitting in anywhere, just make what you want to make and as long as you like what you make that's the most important thing. Never let anyone tell you your music is too experimental or musical, one example would be starkey, some of his stuff is lush as and he does have stuff that is almost neo classical and he does have stuff like this that isn't dubstep, but then he also makes crazy dirty as fuck tunes that blow your mind. That's probably why we all came to dubstep, it's why it's at that tempo, to allow for experimentation and musicality, all about the space.

Your music is definitely not "too experimental", in fact I don't really see how it is experimental at all. I think it would fit in fine with a lot of labels actually.

Look at the artists that produce the less "generic wobble" stuff and see what labels they are on. That may give you a good direction in where you'd like your music to go.

To be honest if you're making beats like that you should have no problems finding releases with LOTS of labels

Every tune I've heard of yours (glitch and dubstep) is epic, and the vocals are absolutely beautiful... keep up whatever you are doing because its fucking awesome, and better still point me in the direction where I can purchase/acquire said epic tunes.. (even if its just soundcloud! )
