Acetate or vinyl? I have shure m447...

vinyl because I cant afford to press acetates that I am going to wear out after 100 plays - if I was earning big money in the clubs then fine but Im not so I want something that essentially I can keep and enjoy for a long time

Dubplates(lacquer)Do not nesasarily ware out they just get a bit more crackly over time but a dubplate even after 30 plays still sounds better than the one off vinyl alternatives(Not to be confused with a vinyl record manufactured from a three stage galvanic process).Trust me i have done the tests.

vinyl: good sound quality and not to much crackly
dubplates: best sound quality and more crackly

this is why I don't know what to do...

do both and then you will know 100% which you prefer.
i go for vinyl dubs purely because of price, and i treat my records like complete shit, so i opted for the more durable material.

its not really that hard a decision.
if you've got a few extra quid to spare, go for transition and go for acetate.

do both let me pay to much money...but I'm little like you so vinyl could be better than acetates for me...

For me Better = A good reproduction of the original source,And in our tests Acetate won by a mile.I would only need to do a slight mod to my system in order to cut pvc blanks and they are a lot cheaper than blank dubs so i for one would love them to sound better but that's not the case.
