Check out Steppa's Delight from Soul Jazz Records and Box of Dub Vol. 1 AND Vol. 2.

You must hear Burial, though!!!

Personally, I'd say don't bother buying any of the mix CDs - there's so many great mixes available to download for free (mostly on this forum) that are of equal or better quality.

You won't go far wrong with any of the following artist albums however

Benga - Diary of an Afro Warrior
Headhunter - Nomad
2562 - Aerial
Burial - Untrue
Martyn - Great Lengths

Same as above... podcasts like Rinse FM, Dubstep FM have so much free mixes you could listen forever more!

Defiantly get:

Skream! and Watch the Ride by Skream (+ his forthcoming new album - Outside the Box)!!
Any of the Rinse comp are good, (new N Type one forthcoming)
Box of Dub 1 & 2
Martyn: Great Lengths
Silkies new one forthcoming/out (not sure)
10 Tons Heavy mix CD
Pinch - Under Water Dancehall
Distance - Repercussions, My Demons

Burials album are immense but not pure dubstep really, defiantly get them but look around if your after more traditional dubstep vibes.

A dude mentioned Vex'd's album and although heavy wieght it's a bit inaccessible if your new to the scene... give some of the other suggestions a go maybe before that one!

Dubstep seems more about EPs and 12" tbh, so find artists you like and dig around for their singles and EPs as well as busting the LPs

Welcome to the dub disease, your life will never be the same again!!!

Horsepower Productions - In Fine Style
Horsepower Productions - To The Rescue
Burial - Burial
Burial - Untrue
Pinch - Underwater Dancehall
2562 - Aerial
Headhunter - Nomad
Distance - My Demons
Distance - Repercussions
Scuba - A Mutual Antipathy
Martyn - Great Lengths
Kromestar - My Sound
Skream - Skream
Vex'd - Degenerate
Dubstep Allstars Vol 1, 2 and 6

and grab Silkie's and Jack Sparrow's albums when they come out, both are gonna be massive :P :P

I'd say the Pinch LP is one of the best artists albums out there, along with Boxcutter's three LPs (if you want to call them dubstep) - Oneiric, Glyphic and Arecibo Message. Burial's first is essential also.

Tempa's Dubstep Allstars Vol.1, Vol.2, Vol.3 and Vol.5 are superb mixes, and the new Tectonic Plates 2xCD is a good set of tunes (unmixed) and a good mix by Pinch.
