lazer bass

fuck i hate that genre name. forum people made that shit up no?

i thought it was hiphop. but since it dosent sound like it, they had to rename it?

but i mean if you WERE to rename it, dosent glitch suit it more. wtf is a lazer bass..

& since i said 'to each, his own" shit sounds way better to use as a saying,
there is no ring to 'EACH TO HIS OWN.'

to all you UK cats who dig this, PANTYRAID (WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!) is going abroad apparently. make sure you contact your local promoter to get this amazing, boundary pushing, genre melting, "panty dropping," gonad ejaculating duo into your local pub.

Definitely a matter of opinion whether or not you're into their music, but I have to say that seeing the Glitch Mob boys do their thing for the first time three years ago is a big part of what got me into DJing. There's no denying that they have a truly interactive, positive relationship with their crowds that I always found quite inspiring.

aside from that, edIT's first album is still one of my favorites. Really impressive on the buttons, that one.

I def. agree wit Pandaia.

Its a required taste, and alot of people dont like them. I on the other hand do. It is an alternative to Dubstep.... which is nice evry once in a while:)

I wasnt big, until I got the oppurtunity to see edIT LIVE!!!! Dude is sick, there is noo doubt about that. AND..... the guys love Dubstep. Ooah especially. his Beaver Blink (rmx) is off the CHAIN! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGyJbMCfjRU

CHECK THAT OUT! and YES!!!! check out Painty Raid!!!!!!!!!!! They are crunk Dubstep, str8 the fuck up. www.myspace.com/pantyraid
-there Maryanne Hobbs mix is sick, short, and sweet.

these guys have a huge following, are really cool. like in person, lol. and are all into the latest technologies, and music devices.

For christ sakes there shows are ran from Mac Book Pro's and Lemur Multi-Touch Controllers:) http://www.jazzmutant.com/lemur_overview.php
How sick? I give these guys props. And once again, its a required taste. Either you dig or you dont. I give these guys props. Theyre playing Rothbury, and I cant wait!!

p to the s- sux Kraddy's not wit em anymore, and theyre just a trio now, but he's a G, and will drop sum hot shit here ASAP... no bad blood = all good! peace!
I cant get enough of this stuff..................

the glitch mob to me are like the caspa & rusko/chase & status of the glitch hop/lazer bass/whatever dumb name you want to call it scene. everything they make just sounds similar with their gritty brutal electro sounding basslines and simple ass drum patterns, their music is just boring and cumbersome.

glitch mob is cooler and more innovative than 99.9% of artists in the dubstep game...myself included.

me and the roommates call their sound "LAZER BLAP"

ha. ha. Lazer Bass...

I am pretty certain some writer for the New York times, Sasha Frere-Jones, coined that term...

I tend to stick w/ mid-tempo ect... but names are just retarded anyway

The Glitch Mob does kill it!

No doubt!

They are all very talented, and have pioneered a unique sound for sure. Their live shows are pretty sick, especially when Ooah is on the turntables. My only gripe would be that their sound has just stayed the same for a minute now, and is on the verge of getting stale. I would be stoked on some new tracks, some new sounds, or some new vibez coming from their crew!

I am sure we will see big things from all those dudes in the near future!
