Nice Job Grooki!

Let me know when the final one is done-- this'll make a serious addition to handful that've come together so far. Feel free to post it for the others to hear too!

Also, the deadline for everyone else is the end of June- so get your remixes done folks!

Cheers, and I'm amazed at the high quality we've gotten so far..

remixes!

Post by everydayprophet » Mon Jun 01, 2009 6:14 pm

@Jsilver: Nice ambience in that tune. Did you do all the instrumentals yourself? This has some serious potential. Some issues with the vocals lining up with the beat- suggestions guys?

@Grooki: the spooky whistly sound is awesome in your remix. Very UFO-ish. Thanks for the 320! Can you tell the other guys how you got the vox lined up so well?

my remix is at 141 bpm. I had to cut the first verse into serveral parts, (seven actually I just checked). And time stretch to get the pitch back up. I pretty much lined the entire vocal up and listened, and once it fell out of time I would cut it there and reline the second portion up, leaving the first portion there (and in time)...
I could have edited even more, but that would have been a pain and then I think you start to lose the nice feel of the vocals :)

and yeah the theraman sound is once of my favs :)

Greetings everyone- don't forget that the end of June will be the cut-off for the web-release remix sampler.

Get the final touches on your remix and submit it!

Cheers, N

Oh Midwest Massive! Was going to ignore, but ya'll are in IN! Up in Fort Wayne myself. May pull it down and spend a nite on it. I'm a bit late to the party for this one. I'll have to connect with you lot about some show swapping!

Here is the updated version. Changed some subtle elements of the tune. Manipulated the vocals a bit to improve timing, added some distortion & changed the filters a bit.
