while this is just me...
I like getting some sort of exercise before sitting down to work on a track...
whether it be sports or a jog or whatever bullshit makes you move...
I sit down more focused and it usually yields better results...
Might be pyschological too, I always hear about how your physical is connected to your mental... Either way, if it helps it helps

EQUO is way better as it shows your sound as a graph instead of colours...Brisance wrote:FL PEQ2Step Correct wrote:Can you recommend a good one please? Anyone? This is something I need to get still.Wub wrote:

My Friday Tip:
Try to understand producing as playing. I myself use to compare it to playing with Lego. You build stuff, get bummed about not getting anywhere, rip it apart, build new stuff from the ripped parts, again and again and at some point soner or later you get where you nod your head and say yes, i like it. But all the way from the beginning to the end you should not be concerned about the output but more about the process of making it. Simply speaking the joy of making music. When one gets to the point of simply "playing" for the sake of itself, good things will come along, plus you're not pressuring yourself to produce an end product but enjoy the moment, which might be worth a lot. play. and it enjoy it. instruments are toys, which can be recorded. my two cents.

I don't know mates you got it all wrong, it's a simple five step processnowaysj wrote:step 9 wake upThe_Dza88 wrote: step 1 open can
step 2 pick the can up in your hand
step 3 move the can stowly to your mouth
step 4 open mouth
step 5 pour some of the content of the can into you mouth
step 6 close mouth
step 7 swollow the alcoholic beverage
step 8 repeat untill light headed and jolly
Whats so hard about that?
step 10 catch yourself as you fall over walking to bathroom
step 11 vomit
step 12 evacuate bowls
repeat steps 11 and 12 five or six times
step 13 writhe in agony on bathroom floor for an hour or two
step 14 call ambulence
step 15 spend day in hospital in mortal agony
step 16 rip out IV and attempt to find stairwell to roof to end pain
step 17 realize that too many people depend on you
step 18 try to sneak out of hospital w/o giving your name
step 19 spend the next ten days living off of water and white rice
STEP 1: Go to bar
STEP 2: Buy some drinks
STEP 3: Get really smashed
STEP 4: Find your self a girly and get laid
STEP 5: Wake up the next day and do it all over again, and oh yhea, Dubstep!
PRODUCTION TIP: meditation
here's my production tip:
go out to your local bars, gaze at all the townies that never went anywhere, or did anything with their lives. come home and use that as motivation to make some kick ass tunes so that you can get out of your shitty town and see the world.
yeah, I live in a lousy town where there's absolutely no music scene. and i just went to Europe for the first time about a month ago and loved every second of it. I'm going back in January, with a CD of tunes to pass around. rock!
