The whole point in the tounge of a trainer is ... well ... to be the tounge, Its not exactly the fashion statement of the shoe is it!?!?!

Without the surrogate tounges these shoes would be kinda dark!

I'm not at all suprised by this new product, countless times I see youths walking round with there laces loose and tongue stuck up, so it doesn't suprise me to see them add another tongue, or 2. I wouldn't call it the ugliest shoe ever, I've seen alot-lot worse... To be fair, if you were to remove the 2 additional tongues, and maybe have the shoe in a different colourway, it'd look alright...
