If they keep the raw underground sound of dubstep it wouldn't be that bad..
Knowing Rihanna it would probably be some lousy energyless beat.

No worries, she'll most likely just loop the first 8 bars of an existing track and sing over them.
I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

rihanna also did a reggae track a while back and it never even came close to radio play so doubt this will even make a ripple....like if 11 year old pig tail youngens dont get it its not gonna go nowhere, so I doubt this means you gonna see skream on mtv cribs soon....

What a joke...dubstep reminds me of the 80s hip hop movement...everyones calling it a fad, it will pass, but it just seems to be growing. The best part is, the dirtier, more rootsy, or wobbly the tracks get, the less appealing they are to these electro obsessed preteens in the mainstream.
And Chase n status are alrright, coommme onnn saxon is killer. eastern jam's a tune too, albeit a popular one., but just because somethings popular doesnt mean you should hate it...
but yea rihanna doin dubstep sounds wack. shes sexy though, gotta give her that

yeah i would say that makes sense...chase and status are weak sauce!
in a year or two they will be making club or house music, prolly will be playing B2B with Tiesto in no time.

i find it hard to believe that a pop singer would actually want that type of vibe in a song...
are you sure they didnt say shes just WORKING with chase and status?
that doesnt mean the result will be dubstep, that would be an assumption especially given the fact that chase and status do multiple genres

I dont find it hard to belive, you cant keep something as good as dubstep underground...having said that it is going to be sugar coated and eventually be the bain of our existence.
I mean acid eventually spawned happy hardcore and epic trance .
