J Tek Records
Let us introduce J-Tek, the new label from a crew consisting of Outrage (Backlash, Metalheadz, Basement Records), Digital (Function, Timeless, Metalheadz), Modular (HardLeaders, Flex, Lab Logic) and the original jungle don Randall (Mac II, Metalheadz, Reinforced) which brings back the long lost jungle techno sound. Fusing classic 4/4 rhythms and syncopated funk breakbeats, J-Tek takes us to a classic age of electronic music (1992-1994) that was short-lived, but full of energy. J-Tek serves as a bridge between the ideas of the past and the engineering of the future, and the 140-150 bpm tempo provides crossover ability with other dance genres. Once again, DJs will have the ability to build sets with elements of both house and jungle, uniting the market. Mind you, this sound differs greatly from the days of old, and the J-Tek crew is aimed at employing their own identity when creating the music, deriving inspiration from Jungle, Techno, Electro, House, Acid, Hip-Hop, Dub, and Reggae – amongst other genres.

We believe there is a need for a genre which will be accessible to all reaches of electronic music, and bring back what many labels pioneered in the early 90’s only to move on to faster tempos. Already, there are some top producers and DJs on board for the project, We plan on using this support to complement a detailed marketing strategy based on an experienced collective of label owners, including events based throughout the UK.

FULL SPEKTRUM - Listen Remix

South London based producer Full Spektrum began making music in 2002.

He got into early hardcore during late '92, buying any vinyl he could afford at the time and keeping up to date with the sounds on pirate radio. Over time, he became involved in the early darkside / jungle scene and has remained faithful to the sound he loves ever since.

Over the past few years, his main focus has been experimental dubstep where he has developed an individual take on the genre with lots of interest and support from labels and DJ's in the scene. The fusion raw old skool breakbeats, funk loops and acid riffs with deep, atmospheric soundscapes is something he is continuing to push and develop. J-Tek is a sound he has become increasingly interested in over the past few years. He has been working on and developing this side of his production as it encompasses the same love of old skool that is evident in all his productions.

Full Spektrum will continue to take the old skool sound forward in all his productions, both in dubstep and J-Tek. Pushing boundries, creating a vibe and keeping true to what made old skool great in the first place.

EVIL - Made In England Remix

Evil (A.K.A Olie Bassweight) is a name that has become synonymous with the burgoning New Zealand dubstep scene. His brainchild Bassweight Recordings was launched in 2006 originally a digital label but now releasing vinyl and CDs. Bassweight has been the vehicle for Olie to release the music he thinks needs to be heard and has helped bring New Zealand Dubstep to the world.
Support for the label was immense, and over the last few years, Bassweight has received support from some of the biggest players in the game. Bassweight is home to some of New Zealand's best producers including, Organikismness, Optimus Gryme, Consequence, P Vans & RQ, and international artists such as Helixir, Selfsimilar & Rick Dias to name a few... no doubt proving he has a great ear for good music.
His tight mixing and rudebwoy selections have cemented his place as one of the busiest DJs In New Zealand, having a constant touring schedule playing the Australian and New Zealand Club & Festival circuit. Keeping an emphasis on playing to his surroundings, Olie doesn't like to be put into a box musically - if it sounds good and gets you moving, no doubt he'll play it. Expect diversity within his DJ sets. Olie has played alonside some of the best DJs & producers in their field in the world. He has also had releases on Betamorph and of course Bassweight. Also lookout for forthcoming 12"s on Stupid Fly & Bassweight.

Born and bred in Northampton i was into music from a very young age jamming to my Dads music with a cushion and drum sticks i always wanted to be a DRUMMER... At the age of 8 i started to have drum lessons at school and progressed really quickly my teachers were impressed.. After a year of playing i joined the school Orcestra and formed my own rock band, by this time my reading skills and technique had started to develope rapidly... By the age of 13 i started to have private lessons with Charles Sheinman he took me through grades 2-5... I joined the school Big Band and formed another school Rock band... By this time i was using Dr Toxic on the Atari and started to learn the basics of Music production... I earned an A in GCSE music.. After leaving school i went to Catering college for 4years to become a Chef but continued playing the drums on and off.. Then finishing College aged 20 i went to work in a Bistro just out of town at this point my first son was born..After 2 years i decided being a Chef wasn't for me and i wanted to make MUSIC my life.. I quit my job brought Cubase and an electronic Drum kit and started to develope my technique and learn the ins and outs of Cubase.. At this point i was heavily into Jungle/Drumnbass and started to learn the breaks i'd heard on the tapes, and play along to DJ sets.. A year past and after seeing Charles Sheinman's web page i decided to start having lessons again.. Charles brought my reading back up to standard and we worked through various books (buddy rich,Future Sounds) improving my Drumming to a very high standard... By now i had set up my own web site advertising my Drumming.. This was when THE DIZZOLVERS previously known as ZINGA WARRIORS contacted me... I went for an audition and got in. They played a cross between THE STREETS and DRUM N BASS.... We worked together for just over a year doing gigs in Birmingham and London and recording in various studios.. By working in various studios, watching engineers, and reading various books my production skills continued to improve.. After leaving THE DIZZOLVERS in April 2009 i have had my second child and im now currently working on various solo projects and looking to work with other artists and join another band.........
