Dignaan: Thank you for the feedback, I was worried it started too slow. I will definitely be shortening the intro.

Haack: What do you mean by "Dub Excerpts"? I agree re: reverb - thank you for taking the time to listen.

"Closer" - Sounds good man. One thing that I would like is if the bassline before the drop had a different variation or fill every 8 bars or so. Something simple, but just enough so it doesn't sound repetitive.
"What Do you Want From Me" - Sounds like a phone dialing in a cool way. The bass doesn't sound heavy though. Sounds like you have a barely audible sub and a lot of high-end but you are missing out on the 200-600hz frequencies.
"Evil I Dub" - This one sounds better mixed than the rest. Love the 2 Steppy drums. Nice one.
"Eternal Demise" - Also a good mix, love the way the melody harmonizes around 2:16 in.

lol for sure man. i'll check it when i get home from work... the computers here have no speakers ><
that's sorta how i produce my stuff too... i rarely have time to sit down for like 6+ hours to work on something lol. that happens to me a lot too-- where you start out one way but the tune ends up completely different lol.

cool though man, major props

I kinda get the same feeling... I'm missing maybe 1 element. The rest stands pretty solid, but it needs a small hook in the higher frequencies maybe? A little glitching in the wobble might also help though, just a little bit more energy than it's got now... Nice relaxed vibe overall.

This link doesn't seem to be working dude... Sorry...

Edit: Downloaded the yousendit version. And pretty much like it. I would however put some more velocity differences in the kicks in the breakey parts (the not steady beats i mean). Sounds just a little bit too digital. Give it a little bit more swing that way. The rest of the song sounds fluid, so this stands out for me :)

Ok... I'm not really feeling this. The top synth is kind of anoying, wich is alright in itself, but I'm not that much into it I guess. Your beat is indeed a stepper, but needs more rhythm elements to "glue" it together. Keep at it, but you should propably listen to some dubstep you like and disect it a little more :) Keep at it though!

Now my piece. Not all edits are done yet, rhythm needs some more variation in it and I am definitely not sure about the strings in the end. Like to know what you guys think about the main wobble synth.

Also, should I go for a second drop?

Damn... Just a tad insecure about this one today I guess... So... Finish it or leave it?

What I meant by that was perhaps using cuts from other dub tracks, such as vocals/hits just to use as a fill ins for your tunes.

And thank you for your critique, much respect, I will work on those elements.
Post an updated version of your track when it is available.

Vonkay;
Sounds pretty decent, but the bass sounds to subby and is missing some mid. Maybe try to slap on some multiband compression to make it more crisp and eq it? Like the vibe, even though I'm not really a "house" person...

Damask rose;
Hi, and welcome :) I like the tightness of the production but from this small snippet I can't tell how it will evolve. Might be a bit to glitchey for me if it is the main hook, but I reckon it's gonna be alright with building to it and a couple fresh sounds... Glitched vocals maybe even? 8)

-boring;
I'm not really feeling your main synth there buddy. It sounds pretty far off to me, but maybe that's what your going for? Drums sound alright but could be tighter. Think maybe a delay or reverb might come in handy to fill the gaps...

& people, if you post, take the time to listen to a couple of others... To much posts not enough people giving feedback... :? Mine was up a couple of posts ago;

thx for feedback..

As far as your track i think it's great. Heeeaavy tune, very creative and smooth flowing with constant variation. I personally would add a second drop ^^. great work and GL fine tuning it.

still a lot to do pretty much everywhere, and the mix leaves much to be desired, but I'd like to hear any comments/critiques about this tune in it's current state.

it's not dubstep per-say but it's bassy enough that I would hope some of you will let it slide :]

listening now - long intro builds atmosphere
maybe do something to automate the kicks that come in, altering their velo?

maybe wet up the hi's with some fx
the electric guitar comes in strong, but might clash with your eeiry sound,
the gongs you have going are good but i think should be spread out a bit more, maybe not so melodic-

---

I started this tune just before going on a short break, i've come back and really would love some advice on what to do now! *don't say give up :D*

i've uploaded to my virb as quickest way to play, is called just started, should be at top of player. Please, any criticism or feedback more than welcome. thanks.

Yeah this really rocks.

If I would say one thing, and one thing only, the melody during the intro dips massivly when the perc hits, is this sidechain compression? if so maybe loosen the release a little?

Thats me trying really hard to criticise a fine peice of work
