What is hypocritical is to say "I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my kids for a sleepover, but other kids, who cares, cause he sold a lot of records 30 years ago, and I liked a couple of them, so lets celebrate his life by morning his death."
this is exactly what i'm saying.

So does that mean that you all dismiss all Beatles music because Heather Mills made accusations against Paul?

Yes I find it weird that Michael had sleep over parties with kids, but I find it equally weird that parents sent their kids for a sleep over with Michael. Legally, he may or may not have been guilty- I don't know. It would be great if we lived in a society where people didn't make shit up for money. It would also be great if lived in a society where kids and other vulnerables weren't preyed upon. I don't know where the truth is in this situation... all I have said, regardless of what the truth is, I wouldn't take the chance as a parent. But to be honest, I wouldn't have taken the chance before all the rumors either.

And no- my differing views of MJ (as and artist & as a parent) aren't hypocritical. One views them separately. There is lots of art I appreciate even though the artists themselves may or may not have been assholes. As I stated earlier, if you were to erase all art that was created by flawed people, you wouldn't have much art left.

If Paul had in fact done that, I'd say garrote the fucker with John's high e string. Wouldn't change the fact that the beetles made a lot of good music (and are the true kings of pop, btw).

Jackson himself admitted to sleeping in the same bed with children after giving them wine.
You are the type who would happily go a lynching by the sound of things

Man thats not justice either you know :roll:

My, you really have bought into the media hype surrounding jackson the past few years. The sensationalist bullshit you're spouting on here is nothing short of ignorant, regardless of the subject matter.

i think people are taking my words in the wrong way. i was initially replying to 'i don't care what he did in his personal life', and stating that if he did do it then it's wrong to dismiss and ignore it. if he did, those kids' lives are basically fucked. they will grow up disturbed and never be the same people they could have been if it hadn't happened. to dismiss this because of his abilities in pop music is ridiculous, that's all i'm saying.

what i didn't say was he certainly did do it, because we don't know. of course his music is great, but to just push aside the possibility he may have committed that most heinous of crimes, aint right.

I think that he has faked his death to the western world and will spend the rest of his life living like a king in some desert country with the money he has made on the ticket sales for his upcoming tour. I think that it is no coincidence that he booked 2304293804970million gigs in a row for big stadiums charging £100quid a ticket, sold out, and then dissapeared?

On the other hand I enjoy all the jokes that this news has spawned...

Options for cause of Micheal Jackson's Death:
A = Sunshine
B = Moonlight
C = Good times
D = Boogey

the moonwalk was invented by a guy called Bill Bailey (not the comedian)

When I was 7 and I had a poster of Michael from The Thriller on my wall. That was 23 years ago. He was meant to live forever. R. I. P.

Let the man rest! for fucks sake. The parade has left town as well as all the weird shit that you see in it. Whether he really was a pedophile or not....we will all die ourselves not knowing the real answer. Did he more or less admit it on TV, sure. Has the guy who conducted that whole interview suspiciously not furthered his career? Yeah, I'd say so ( :lol: )
Did one of the mothers of the children he apparently raped admit she was lying, yes! (if I remember correctly).

All of this "maybe he did this, maybe he did that" doesnt amount to SHIT. He did some weird shit. He's dead. His music was great. In his time he was the king. He harboured some strange things but just be happy that all yall are even interested in a lot of the music you are because of him.

**This is one way of looking at it. Here's another way.

If you potentially heard that some dude down your street may have raped children and given them alcohol and etc, you'd be wary of him right? He may hold a 9-5 job at Burger King, but he is potentially a pedophile...you hear this through the grapevine. My point is, MJ's issues are considered in a different manner because he was one of the biggest pop stars of all time. The common man....not so much.

My 2 cents

thanks to nazism we have: the first amplified speeches, VW beetles, amphetamines,...

it's not because they invented these things they were great guys.

same goes for MJ, he made great music, but he was sick in his head..
