For years I was more into psychedelic and dnb, then one morning after a psytrance rave, just sitting around chillin after a heavy night I heard someone playing a dubstep track... I've never really regained my love for psy or dnb since I heard dub ;O I knew it was love at first listen!..

I saw Joe Nice live back in 2008. I was optimistic but once the first dub "attenshun" was dropped i knew that dubstep would be a part of my life, and it has been ever since.

The space, and the heavy ass bass. Lots of potential in what you can do with the sound is what made it fun for me.

It was those tight lacey body stockings Kode9 used to DJ in at FWD that really got me hooked, that and Corpsey's cloooooooonge.

what drew me to the sound was the wide variety of creativity with bass and percussion. i initially was drawn to the use of space and bass mixing perfectly with bongos, 2step/garage styled hi hats, along with some artists use of indian and afro beat influence i.e. shackleton and his god like use of tablas. i was also drawn to the emotion and deepness these instrumental tunes convey, such as headhunter, 2562, burial, and pinch among many others
