Nope... Valid question... You put money into it right? Don't expect anything back, that's all... Then you can treat the money you get in like it's ment to be; a little extra you made with your hobby, and wich will propably go right back in again :D

Me, I'm in it for kicks, a full dancefloor is just a beautifull sight! And something I would really like is to be able to travel a little. You know; getting asked to play out here and there every now and again... Maybe once a month in some european city

dont see money as money but as a reward. They liked your gig and they give you a certain amoun of money so you can buy more records and come back later. Its more investment money. Tho to me it is

Well ive made a little bit, nothing I could live off but enough to get me some new plugins and put a bit towards releases off my own label..

but I could get a grand from release sales ( highly unlikely I know but just saying) but I'd still rather hear my tune dropped at a night I am at just to see how people receive it..

I'm more in it for people to enjoy it, if they do I will give it to them more than often for free if they take the time out to speak to me and tell me what they like about it..Also I see selling my tracks (through my own label) as a kinda test ... 100 people could download my track for free in the dubs section but for someone to spend a quid or two to get my tracks must mean they really like it and will play it more than once, right? Positive feedback helps me write, not beer money..And that is how I see getting paid from music is.....positive feedback, someone likes my music enough to spend their hard earned money on it, I just hope people don't buy it then realise it was a big mistake

I've honestly never tried to or even wanted to, in any way, shape or form. Partially because I don't feel like I'm where I want to be as a producer yet and don't really want to put stuff which doesn't really satisfy my own standards out there, and partially because I don't want to become like one of these dickheads on here constantly promoting their shitty netlabels and whatnot.

I mean, people have asked me if they could buy tunes and assured me that they would buy tunes if I had tunes out but fuck that shit, music isn't commerce to me. Judging by the way people are on this forum, though, it seems like I've chosen the wrong genres to fuck with...

I make money from playing other peoples records
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
