New York dubstep scene?

Hey

I'm from the UK and about to visit New York in a couple of weeks - I've heard there's quite a growing dubstep scene out there and I'm keen to check it out and see how it varies from the UK. Can anyone recommend me some nights/ producers to watch out for?

And while we're at it, any info on bass-heavy electronic music in NYC - who's making it and where I can dance to it - would be much appreciated!

konkrete jungle every monday @ pyramid club... 101 ave A btwn 6th & 7th st...

starts at 11 goes till 4...

every monday since 1994... jungle dnb, dubstep, and whatever else...

and post the dates you gonna be here... can give you a better run down of whats poppin if i know the timeframe..

the best thing about nyc's scene is that you've got the world of choices now. be thankful for that. other big cities have maybe one or two choices.

Let me know when yr coming to town and i'll let you know who we've got guesting at Sneaks. it's a chill party on a weds. night but we've definitely had nights where the dancefloor is a-poppin. Constantly running dubs as well-- great venue to check what's new on deck!

No full-onSub Swara events planned until Oct as we're kinda constantly on the road until then.

Our old takeover bredren, T&B and Dub War, will always be holding down the low end. Overcast Radio's night @ Bar 13 looks intriguing to me. alwyas lots going on regardless.

Check out Darkroom on the 11th at Coco 66 in Greenpoint, I won't be there myself but the rest of the crew will be holding it down.

oh and EVERY tuesday, if you need some dnb in NYC, check Camouflage... @ sin sin, on the southwest corner of 2nd ave & 5th st..... its free before 11, and now there is a cool little reggae party in the upstairs as well...
