140 standard. Unless I am not making dubstep then it is whatever feels right at the time.

I also just do 140
It's the standard and I don't really feel like I need to change that.
Nothing wrong with using different BPMs and I do so frequently when I work on other genres.

i dont understand why people are using 140bpm when the beats are slow? does it just allow more room for faster note arpeggios n shit like that?

whatever fits, have started off making at 135 and the tune has ended up @ 165.
Generally i stay at 135-143 though

me aswell, there about 5 people in this thread that think this so it is now a FACT.
i make tunes no faster then 160 no slower then 70. i never set out to make dubstep and most my stuff aint dubstep tempo or sounding, but when people ask me what i make i say "dubstep" then when they here it they say "whats that shit?"

If you listen to older dubstep you won't find many of them to be 140. This shit is redic.

I went to a little night at corsica studios the other month and heard some fucking sick dubstep from like 120-160, was nice to hear stuff at 160 that still sounded very dubstep and not very dnb. TOP BUMMIN

almost always 140 when making dubstep, wanted to try 280 some time now, but never did actually
