yo

anyone on here from berlin?

me and me missus are thinking about coming out there for a bit on the jolly ...

was wondering what the scene was like - i've heard mixed reports about soundsystems and scenestering ...

but sounds like a cool place to me ....

is there a funky scene? cos i suppose the broken beat scene is still there....

any insight would be most appreciated...

not really a funky scene but the freakcamp guys have been playing funky. 2krazy especially is on it.

there's no "scene" as such, but some djs have started playing funky in their sets recently. haven't heard about a party dedicated solely to funky yet, the one with the markus nasty gig was a failure unfortunately. dubstep is big though and wonky seems to get a foothold as well. tbh, i don't think funky will get big in Berlin, as it's too - ahem - "funky" for the city.

if you're in Berlin in the next few days, i reckon you should check these partys where some funky might be dropped:

Not abt lookin for a funky dance in berlin.

minimal house & techno is the 1 over there. Peep Watergate or berghain
