caspa and rusko

Post by 3/2kick » Thu Jul 23, 2009 10:55 am

recently alot of people have been ripping on them for their jump up style sounds and to be honest im not the biggest fan of that style. But people dont seem to give them credit for their softer songs which i think shows how talented they are:

scared of the unknown
we are ie
moments in love
love is real
rock bottom

just to name a few... anyone agree?

Not so much Cockney Violin for me but yeah i agree with you,
i think it's just because they're popular outside of the underground scene people tend to slay them, they've done some decent tracks but i'm still not a fan myself. But that's just me.

I was raised on aphrodite and urban takeover growing up so i've always
been a massive fun of jump up big bassy music, probably why id say rusko is my fave producer with caspa up their as well...just feel good stuff.

but yea on their softer tunes i love rock bottom, sub bass is pounding.

Some of their chilled stuff either solo or collaborative is wicked - We Are I.E. Remix, One Of The Same, Love Is Real, Victoria's Secret, Back To 93 are all percy's

Caspa & Rusko have both produced tunes that i really love...

Born To Do It
SNES Dub
Acton Dread
Tru Powwa
King George
Soundguy Is My Target
Dutch Flowerz (Rusko Remix)
Girl From Codeine City (Rusko Remix)

i am not really a fan of their 'jump up', wobble/duck fart, mid-range madness tunes but i understand why other people love them and i quite like some of them in limited doses...

i think the hate they receive is completely unwarranted tbh...

big up Caspa & Rusko...

Definately, i see them as more explorers of the sound they arent afraid to try new angles weather they work or not they still push things to the limit, i mean just look at their bookings... says it all really.

Please... Can we get over it??

After a quick search... From 2007:
badger wrote: theres been lots of posts about this "jump up" dubstep and tbh lots of them arent that positive. i like it, and think its good to have energy in dubstep rather than a lot of the plodding half step wobblers that are around these days, but as with halfstep i prefer "jump up" in moderation. agree with what you say about rusko's older stuff, snes dub is still a percy

i like maybe 3 caspa tunes and 4 or 5 rusko tunes...

it's not really about the style either..if it's good it's good....floor dem is heavy as fuck but the wobbly shit on his lp isn't....i also like back to 93 though...

rusko..jahova is immense...i like a few of his silly tunes and of course love is real
