my internal monologue went:

"crap, here's someone wondering when the next logic is coming oHOLY SHIT!"

upon further inspection... it's not blowing my socks off. some tools to work faster (edit audio in arrange, elastic time) and bring it up to where protools was 2 or 3 years ago. Gonna wait and see how it pans out.

also, got too many open sessions to take the chance on upgrading and NOT having it be awesome.

well wats important to me is that the automation looks improved, and I also like the whole project to project integration idea.

looks like a good step forward to me, but i feel like the majority of the improvements are all for recording purposes

Looks like it has some nice tools for editing vocals. Too much emphasis on guitar amp emulation bollocks, though.

I'm still running a G5 for audio and it looks like I'm locked out until I buy a new intel machine.

Working with audio still looks like shit. I'll pass on an update this time around and maybe check out an educational version of cubase studio around the same price as a logic update.

I mean it'll come out cheaper with less headaches I recon since I'd have to update my OSX to 10.5. No time or money for a new OS.

agree with you there. im not that impressed either to be honest. i was expecting something a bit more revolutionary. I'll stick with renoise.

i have a feeling NI is gonna announce something big though - they wouldn't discount komplete for no reason.

The recession is a good reason to discount. There are all kinds of discounts going on in software land right now.
