i dont use the encoder (i use lame) but its the only app i will listen to music in, with the sound enhancer (sound musher) off and the eq (cliper) off. then it sounds good why they think that pro mastered tracks sound better when fucked with i dont know

I have never seen or used iTunes. I won't even install an Apple program on my computer. I used Winamp for forever but lately I have been digging Fubar.

Yeah man Foobars nice too, but I still run Winamp 2.95. It's just right imo, put a nice skin on it and don't have to worry about anything else. The newer versions seem to want to do everything, even burn CD's, and take up lots of memory... too bloated for my tastes. However, iTunes is the king of the bloat imo! I can't see how people use it as their default media player, but whatever works for ya! Anyone remember Kjofol or Sonique hehe.

How do you get -q 0? The highest I can get is -q 2
I'm using LAME3.98.2 btw
Hmm... I still use LAME 3.97 but I've just tried converting a WAV file using LAME 3.98 and it created an MP3 file with quality index of 60 (which is -q 0)
