On a side note about logic,
does anyone have problems finding the actual automation selection for Pitch Wheel or bend on any synth

I usually just end up recording on that track me just doing something with the pitch wheel so i can access the automation but im just curious if there is a direct way or is this just some flaw in logic

Yep... Had this feeling before! :) But often when you listen closer this is also due to the little things;

Velocity on notes (sometimes when drawing, you forget)
A small notch filter over a bassline
Swings in your rhythm
Little variations in either notes or rhythm
FX like rises
small drop out's of the bassline

Are all stuff to make a dull bassline sound phenomanal :D So stop feeling sorry, and analyze the fuck out of that track!

what helped me with bass was listening to other people playing loud music in the other rooms in my dorm. i used to wake up annoyed, but intrigued with the bass patterns at the same time. this way you can hear pretty much only the bass frequencies and really hone in on what makes the bassline catchy without being distracted by the rest of the song. of course you can also do this with an eq.

I found the melody bass the hardest part, the wobble bass was piss easy.

look if you cant make blines, then what are you doing?

the reason why I make music is because I have melodies, beats and stuff in my head that HAS to come out!

If you dont have ideas, then dont make the track. simple

hehe I'd like to add that you can always do a remix of a well known song if you cant make stuff up youself.

but here is an idea for ya (only if you have a mic tho, and depends how accurate you can hit tones with your voice)
1. put one a nice tune on your headphones
2. push REC and humm what ever comes into mid while listening

Thats because you are a genius and everyone else is stupid and talentless. Say no more, though, even the stupid people can appreciate the magnitude of your genius.

:?

You are so positive. and helpful, with that comment.

(btw. I know you dont know me I havent posted much at all, just dl mixes and mostly reading stuff)

let me simplify how I think.

Use chords.

while playing the track find a way to play a single nice chord broken down into a simple melody one tone at a time. mostly you select a few of the nicer tones from the chord and make up something else.

most chords work, but depends on what kinda wood you want for your tune.

for heavier stuff use one or two single tones used in a pattern instead of a melody.

but an original melody is always nice.

peace,
