1) Trojan - My favourite Reggae label countless classics and all the greatest artists have recorded for this label.Still doing it today.Stone cold

2) Motown- Goes without saying really.

3) Greensleeves - another classic reggae label

4) Talkin Loud Records.Real sad when this label ceased to exist.4 Hero,Roni Size & Represent,Spacek,Herbert the list goes on.Pure Quality

5) Metalheadz/ V Recordings.Cant decide which one.Too many classics to mention from back in the day.

Warp - don't need to explain why really, but with the like of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre, LFO, Tricky Disco, Mira Calix, Two Lone Swordsmen, Anti Pop Consortium, Plaid, Chris Clark, Milanese and fantastic 'licensed to' acts such as Stereolab and Battles, well you just can't go wrong can you?

Cosmic (and Cosmic ID) - quite simply the best techno label in existence. Particularly Steve Bicknell's productions and Phase's Module Overload EP - my favourite techno ep.

Anticon - groundbreaking indie hip hop label. The early releases are absolutely solid.

Planet Mu - just keeps going from strength to strengh with each new addition to the rosta. Home to the likes of his royal breakcore highness Venetian Snares, Hellfish, Mu-ziq, Remarc, Shitmat, Bizzy B, Chevron, and our very own Vex'd, Virus Syndicate, Boxcutter, Benga, MRK 1 & Distance.

Nonesuch - purely for providing the vast majority of Steve 'The minimal master' Reich's works.

Shit 5 is impossible, can't miss Burial Mix - best dub label ever, for me anyway period.

(In no particular order)

Minus (Unique sound, amazingly produced minimal techno)
Rephlex (Reminds me why I like electronic music when I forget)
Warp (Obvious)
Subtitles (In the early days of Polar, Teebee, Angel Zero etc. What the fuck happened?)
Skam (Because of Shadowhuntaz, Gescom, Wevie Stonder!)

Cyclic Law: Canadian dark ambient label with super high standards

Axiom: (RIP) consistent yet totally varied, Dub to Funk to Metal and Noise

Ant-Zen: worlds best post-industrial label

Cold Meat Industry: pioneering neo-folk and noise label from Sweden

Hydra Head: kind of pretentious but often adventurous heavy sounds

I'll second the Southern Lord love and add the following:

Militant Walls _ brutal sounds out of Canada. Harsh noise goodness.

Young God_Folk and Psychedelic sounds, run by Michael Gira(ex-Swans)

Lovepump United_three of my favorite releases this year, An Albatross, Genghis Tron, and Miracle of Birth/Child Abuse split.
