A bit ironic that you should use the word insecure about me. At what point did i say that YOU are into Snares?Genevieve wrote:Most of the breakcore I listen to is from Bloody Fist, Ambush and Praxis and I fucking said it myself that the world has changed since 1996 earlier in this thread (how the fuck does that equate to me thinking Snares started it all, are you dense?), doesn't mean I have to fall for the belated teenage idealism and being completely incapable of separating the music from the musician. Yeah, the Venetian Snares clones are annoying. Give me one good reason how the Praxis clones are any better.
'Person has different views from me, therefore, he must lack knowledge somewhere'. I didn't give a fuck about Snares for years after I got into breakcore and he's one of the first I heard. Keep your assumptions to yourself and try to discuss things, that way you won't look as painfully threatened and insecure about your own beliefs.
Comparing V Snares clones, to "Praxis clones" was peachy. I'd appreciate if you could name one or two and define what a Praxis clone is. I'm genuinely very interested.
It's unsurprising that you've completely missed the point of the Praxis rant.

Doll Doll Doll & printf("shiver in eternal darkness/n"); are sooo sick. Befriend The Child Killer is the darkest piece of music ever made in my opinion.
Also thought Detrimentalist was an awesome amen mashup album. The guy is very prolific but sometimes he does churn out some shit.

Only just remembered about Find Candace. One of the most disturbing videos ever without a doubt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiROxYD16Go
As for Breakcore being dead, I hardky ever listen to it or go to any night these days but used to be heavily heavily into and involved (have booked Snares/Bong Ra/Sickboy/Droon + more in the past).
Every year though Glade reminds me its far from dead

"That was a great article and it was totally accurate. You probably don't like to think breakcore has existed since before V Snares was signed to planet mu, but it has since about 95/96."Saxenhammer wrote:A bit ironic that you should use the word insecure about me. How dare I think you were talking about me! ;'0 I feel so silly and embarrassed now! ;'0
Because up until 2003 (the year I first got into breakcore), 'breakcore' TOTALLY wasn't a dirty word that was used to denounce anything that sounded like it could've been released by Praxis (even up until 2006 when 'Honor Beats' by Wisp came out, I remember reading a review that said 'oh man, not more Praxis style gabber kicks and harsh breaks', the reviewer being pleasantly surprised it wasn't like that). And it's not like for years, breakcore from Australia didn't for a large part consist of Nasenbluten clones either, or anything. People followed trends back then as they do now. Praxis is a great label, to deny that it was trendy to sound like them during the late '90s and early 21th century in underground hardcore music, is silly.Saxenhammer wrote:Comparing V Snares clones, to "Praxis clones" was peachy. Nice cop-out. No, I didn't miss it, it's just an awful point. 'He disagrees? He MUST not get it! How dare he think something else than me, he must be subhuman'. Damn dude! Rockin Szamar Madar during a dubstep set? Fuckin epic. 7/8 timing is what he writes in usually though. No such thing as a 7/3 time sig. ; )
Definetely love that album though, liked his dubstep tunes he did too, pretty clownin with the black sabbath reworking.
i transition from dnb to dubstep to house etc in my sets plus i write some auto tempo changing tunes to use specifically

You actually want to waste time discussing a point with someone who is never going to agree with you? I'd rather not waste my time. You're not going to change my view and me yours. I wouldn't want to. But I still believe the things you say are pretty funny. Especially the mention of "Praxis style gabber kicks".Genevieve wrote:Because up until 2003 (the year I first got into breakcore), 'breakcore' TOTALLY wasn't a dirty word that was used to denounce anything that sounded like it could've been released by Praxis (even up until 2006 when 'Honor Beats' by Wisp came out, I remember reading a review that said 'oh man, not more Praxis style gabber kicks and harsh breaks', the reviewer being pleasantly surprised it wasn't like that). Nice cop-out. No, I didn't miss it, it's just an awful point. 'He disagrees? He MUST not get it! How dare he think something else than me, he must be subhuman'. Again, if you can't discuss things, stay out of it. If you're going to be a cock from the get-go, you'll be treated as such. If you want decent responses, give decent replies. Until then, you're irrelevant. I'll wait until you have something decent to say.Saxenhammer wrote:It's unsurprising that you've completely missed the point of the Praxis rant.
And yeah I said the Snares thing, I couldn't remember and didn't care enough to look back and check.
Again, not what I said and you only picked ONE HALF of the comment I paraphrased, which of course distorts that which it actually said. I don't think you look back and check anything. For starters, I didn't even talk shit about the contents of the original news letter (which is what you threw a tantrum about me doing), which also, I clearly stated. Really, from now on, if you're gonna discuss things, actually do it. If you're merely going to be a cock about things, be a cock about something relevant. Have a nice day.Saxenhammer wrote:You actually want to waste time discussing a point with someone who is never going to agree with you? I'd rather not waste my time.
