How are the big producers verified on this site?
How are the big producers verified on this site?
I'm new to the site, so forgive me if it's a silly question.
Just seen the massive MJ - Sincere (remix) thread with "Nero - Dan" arguing with a loada ppl.. he only has 49 posts, is there some checks put in place so we know it's actually him?...obv people like skream plastician etc who have been posting since '06 is a different thing...

you can separate the jokers from the real people very quickly. usually it takes a few quick questions to figure this out. On top of that, the few times that people have been impersonated to take the piss, we've been right on top of it to shut it all down.Kman2025 wrote:I'm new to the site, so forgive me if it's a silly question.

you can tell if they're real or not because of these reasons..
1. they never argue or say anything too negative, they just stay really humble and take a very neutral aproach to things.
2. they post dubplates every now and again, classic sign of a genuine producer.
3. they have been posting on the forum since 1998 and remember when dubstep was invented.
4. all the forum members mysteriously agree with everything they say.
having said that, the real zomby posted here and i don't think he was humble, around in 1998 or agreed with on a mass scale.. he got banned anyway so forget about that.

Remember that this forum was created because the previous forum (dubplate.net) closed down without warning in early 2005. All those people from that forum, signed up to this one straight away. So the first 300 members of this site all know each other in real life. It was a tiny tiny scene back then. Its dead easy to see someone having a laugh, trying to hide behind some bait new name.

he was selling his unmastered tunes to people digitally, and when people complained that the tunes were unmastered and over priced he started having a go at everyone, told forensics his tunes are shit, refused to refund certain people n that.. can't remember much, someone should dig up the link to the old thread.collige wrote:Having not been around that long, I would very much like to know what happened with him.Abs wrote: having said that, the real zomby posted here and i don't think he was humble, around in 1998 or agreed with on a mass scale.. he got banned anyway so forget about that.
