I'll give feedback to the next 3 who post up tunes.. if they give me feedback.
alright i also like the song but i kinda dont like the 4x4 beat i like the way it sounds after the drop idk thats just me sounds more mellow at the end to me
Hehe, fair play to you, the general vibe I thought for the track was a very clean, precise progression, into a small but mellow 2nd drop to calm you down from the chaotic first drop hehe, guess some people won't like that, some will - thanks for the feedback though :D

@2nd Chance

Had a listen to rattle, nice work. I reckon your drums could do with some tightening and general sprucing up. I could also hardly hear the snare. It doesnt have to be massive as that doesnt seem the feel of the track but just a bit of sharpness. Also id say vary the lfo and add some variety to the track as people have short attention spans!

Much prefer the other track that you have up. That has a dark feeling to it and seems like a much better thought out track. Good use of sounds, i really like that reverbed clanky sound in the back, very good at building atmosphere in the track. I reckon you could have another look at your levels and and im not to sure at the delayed snares around two minutes. But that may just be personal preference.

If you have time check out the new track on the myspace!

@Legendary

Im feeling the vibe of the track, really nice and mellow. Im not sure whether i like the 4x4 beat or would prefer it to be a much more chilled beat. But im a fan of the second part of the track. Also, its hard to make out at certain parts whats being said in your voice sample.

Not sure if any of that is very helpful!

@Psy:am - Really nice build up of the sample at the start. Tune had me headnoddin. Maybe add another element someway through to add some variation. Thumbs up though.

Listening to Miss You atm, build up is gorgeous. Nice one.

Any feedback on "LoveDub" or "When I Was a Kid" would be greatly appreciated (http://www.myspace.com/j1beatz).

Cheers :)

That wobble bass is very odd, part of me says it needs to be much tighter but another part says to me "is it even needed at all?" It captures way to much space for something what is just another instrument - I'd work on bring the bass levels down and building more interesting things what surround it, bring the hat levels up and work on some progression or at least more interesting variation!

When I was A Kid - hehe, 2stepper from day then? this track has groove and bare of it ! I'd work on the mix it find it hard to groove to it totally due to the drums being in the background and the melody and vocals over powering everything and the subs a bit to low too but sick track!

Love Dub - lovely sample at the start, loving the 4x4 beat - though i'd turn the kicks up and bring the vocal down a bit, loving the progression in the intro with the bongos and random hits. When it drops its lovely ! Such a strong rolling dancey/happy tune! With a good mix, i'd deffo buy/sign this one! - you bring sounds in and out perfectly and just at the right time, was a pleasure to listen too

@J-One

Cheers for the feedback. General vibe seems to be variation. Deffo keep that in mind for the next track! And glad you seemed to like miss you!

'Love dub' is a big tune and that vocal sample at the start is killer. Definitely one im going to be listening to in the coming days!

Ditto all of legendary's comments on both tunes. When i was a kid is also sick but love dub smashed it for me.

@Legendary

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with a lot of what youve said, so appreciate it! Back to the drawing board for me haha.

Cheers mate, nice to get some feedback on my tunes. Usually do hip hop, so don't share out much of my other stuff.

320's available on both tracks

Will definitely take Legendary's advise and play with the mixes though, might have to get LoveDub professionally mastered.

@Legendary - was just checking your SoundCloud. That 'hip hop tune work in progress' is serious! Was proper vibing off it, love jazzy hip hop with a passion. I got a load of hip hop stuff on my MySpace.

Huh, interesting. I'll start by saying I really like it. It has a really thick sound for so few instruments. But, because it has so few instruments, its pretty thin. But you make good use of what you do have, so big ups for that! If it's supposed to be minimal, then you did a great job! The levels are all really good, and all the parts are separate but work together well. Good job hitting the full spectrum of frequencies.

My only suggestion would be add a few more areas where everything is going, similar to the ending before the outro. I really liked it, and I think a few more areas like that would really add to the track.

:D
