Hey people, was wondering the best way to use massive in conjunction with fl studio. I want to be able to change the lfo etc with it being played live if you can do that? Also would I need a midi controller with a faders to do that? Thanks!!
Use automation by using those built in MIDI buttons in Massive (the yellow ones) and then automate them in FL Studio.
Example: assign the LFO rate to button 1, then in FL Studio, in the sidebar, go to Current Project > Generators > Fruity Wrapper > Left Click on "MACRO1" and select Make Automation Clip.
Done.

Yeah, don't use the lfo sync. You can only set to a certain rate that way. When you turn the sync off, you can just automate the lfo rate knob for all your wobble pleasures.Quit wrote:The lfo trigger on the automation clip doesnt respond how I want it. You can only set it to a certain speed. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure what you're talking about by applying massive generators through the fruity automation clip. All you have to do is turn the LFO sync off, tweak the LFO rate knob, then goto last tweaked parameter in the plugin dropdown and select create automation clip or link to controller if you have one.Quit wrote:Still, applying massive generators through the fruity automation clip is crappy, are there any other ways? Also the x-y controller does not work if I assign it to massive through the mixer.
Thanks anyways
Then you can automate by drawing out automation clips or simply tweaking a knob on a controller. Could also link to a key on your computer keyboard, but i think it will just turn the rate up to 100% and back down to zero if you hold it in. Pretty straight forward to draw out automation clips or use the events editor. Even easier to just record automation if you have a controller. Read the help file if you don't know automation.
