i like the beginning the most

good work.
Hally of da mtn kingy is pretty good, I'd mix the kick in higher, or at least layer it with another one and have the bassline mixed a bit lower (it'll translate better when it's loud). I'd try to change the arrangement up too, just to have some sections without the bass blaring to make it more progressive.
worked on this, very juju style thing

makes me feel like im lost during a shroom trip in the jungle or something. cool stuff.
yeah hall of the mtn king has absolutely no arrangement at all... i haven't had the time to sit down and think of a good way to structure it yet. the levels in it are pretty wack too, i dont really know what im doing when it comes to proper mixing. ill do what you said when i get home.

@Mcfluquerton-nice one on the feedback homie. Loved your tune.
Pros-great synth sounds, drums really well done, bass is god and deep, nice overall movement, good samples.
Cons-Mixdown could be a bit brighter, synths could use some filter automated/variations imo to reinvest the listener, bass line kinda sparse too. I appreciate the minimal vibe but the tune would just move a whole lot better with a few more notes in the bass line, you really kinda just have the same two or three bass notes the whole tune, take it up once or twice after you take it down, let it move and roll a bit, you've got space in the mix, how about a bass turn around?

reminds me of scientific american or something.. good stuff here
i like the vibe- its sort of eerie, distant and confusing. i would like to hear a bit more off the wall sounds every few measures and maybe more variation in that strange loop that keeps playing throughout the tune, however thats just me!
thanks very much for the response. yeh i think you are right about the main sound as it gets a bit repetitive. might add whole lot of effects and automation to change it up, as i want the notes to stay the same all the way

ah yeah cheers for the ideas man, i reckon a bit more movement in the bass could do wonders, n i should definitely get some more variation in the lines, nice one

I really liked that, it had a nice sort of organic quirky feel to it, like when a tune just doesnt fit into any specific sound. big up!
i liked that one aswell, wicked vocal sample.. works well with the drowsy bassline and general spaceyness of the tune.
Ok here's a tune i've been working on today and a bit of yesterday, it's the first time i've had a crack at garagey 2-step kind of stuff, not finished yet.. so.. yeah, check it please.

*might sound slightly quiet, so turn it up innit

hey man nice tune, tbh ive not really listened to much garage
but the bass was fat, and i liked the variation [especially in the 1st 3 bass sections]
kinda made the arrangement come together.
cool track
and thanks for the feedback on mine

Where the song ends currently, I want to take it back into the dub part but with an explosive wobble/wonky bass. I would love some feedback, specifically on the mix and on the drums. I don't know if the first part, the drums get a bit stale and what not.. also, does the sound drop a bit after the "the war against the machines" sample? I switched some drums and I can't tell if it sounds a bit empty or not.. I don't have a good pair of monitors over here. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. big ups from brooklyn.
sick tune. i like the glitchyness and love the quick reverby high freq hits... i think some sub bass would really give it some power and maybe a stronger kick/snare combo (especially the snare) to give it that real BOOM power. the 2nd half of the tune reminds me of a sound tribe sector 9 tune or something. good shit man, what vsts do you use, if you dont mind me asking? this sounds really organic
yea, thanks for the feedback. vsts are all over the place.. i have reason rewired into logic and half the track is reason patches and half the track logic vst stuff. the glitchy/spacey/sts9 stuff at the end is coming from 2 thor patches (initial, and punchy reso lead) paired together in a combinator.
