To continue the dated conversation... it can be a good thing. Some of these albums where they made today would have brickwall compression on them and this be shite.

It is amazing to listen to those old rock records from the 70's with the layers and layers of dynamic instruments and yet everything is clear, nothing gets lost in the mix. Without any sidechain compression, how do they do it!

Okay.

Tru Thoughts - Shapes 09:01 (No one's heard of this one.)
Prodigy - Music For A Jilted Generation
Burial - Untrue
Benga - Diary Of An Afro Warrior
Skream - Watch The Ride
The Streets - A Grand Don't Come For Free
Outkast - The Love Below/Speakerboxxx
Hospital Recording Mix 7
Calvin Harris - I created Disco
Benny Benassi - Best Of
Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children (I loved the drums on Sixtyten)
Chase & Status - More Than Alot (Granted the dubstep is crap but it provides the background to many happy parties, and is a popular choice when with friends.)
Fabriclive 37, See above.

Are we counting Vinyl?
Digital Mystikz - Anti War Dub, Ancient Memories (One of the only skream remixes I like)
Cotti & Cluekid - Sensi Dub
Benga & Skream - The Judgement
Benga, Walsh & Kromestar - HF014
Kromestar - Kalawanji BW Surgery (MEDI01)

Yeah those are my favorites. I could never pick one single favorite.
