Had an absolutely epic night last night!
It was a few friends leaving do at a mates house, more like a small mansion, I'd of guessed there was around 300 people there, it was huge!
Was abit long djin like, as we only had a table big enough for 1 set up, and as a mate was using cdj's and i had 1210's, and as he was playin the commercial stuff early on, we had to keep unpluggin and plugging in the decks each time one of us went on, I ended up doin about an hour of 4x4 garage and grime and a good couple of hours of dubstep, to say only a small number of people knew about dubstep, everyone was going fuckin nuts... I found it difficult to mix at first as the monitor wasn't fully facing me, and it seemed like there was a slight delay, to me anyway, between that and the wall mounted speakers, gradually found it easier though, as the sound wasn't as clear as it is when djin down the studio, it ment mixes even if they weren't spot on, sounded decent, I was pretty much cuttin every track as first, or doin basic mixes, then had like a 20 minute spell with double drops and someone on the mic, I was fuckin hyped!
So yeah, jus got in, had a few hours kip in the car, between 4-7, woke up to Polizia playing, wanna my white labels, I remember waking up and bein pissed off someone was playin my beloved collection but was too tired to get up and pack it all away, all in all, fuckin sick night, had 4/5 doobies, which was pleasing considering his parents were there and I was only plannin on having a cheeky one before I went to 'bed'...
