do you play?

are those piano or keyboard style keys? i can't make it out. the quality of akai products in general has gone to shit since numark took over. i mean advertising "genuine mpc pads" is a fucking marketing joke.

YEAAHHBWOOOY!!!!!

That should be a sick keyboard, i nejoy the piano style keys so much more...

Will probably go for 61key version. 7 octaves is a bit too much for production imo:)

So does anyone know when it is going to be available in stores?

The MPK49 is about £300... if the 88 comes in below £600 I'm seriously going to be tempted....

Anyone know a price for this at all? My housemate just found a link to one in the States for about $400... if they're really gonna be that cheap there must be a catch?!

All the prices I have seen are $800 USD new. The 61 is $500. The one you're mate is seeing for $400 is probably on DJDeals.com and you can't actually order it. It's just a price scam marketing ploy to get you to their site. I tried getting an mpk49 off that site awhile ago and my credit card company flagged it as fraud because they don't even have their CC processing coded correctly and passing the right info.

Yeah, it was djdeals. Gonna hang on for this a bit... $800 would make it seriously tempting. I've been wanting to get into some proper piano playing... this would be the perfect thing to use!
