DUBSTEP IN ITALY

Post by relaks » Mon Nov 13, 2006 8:18 am

Well, we had our first proper night here a firenze this saturday. Hatcha flew down from London town.... it's at ExMud, a spot that has a much better system than I remembered. To be honest, I hadn't been there in like 4 years at least.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE.
I think everyone was a bit surprised with how WELL it went. People dancing all night, only a couple young ladies asking him to play some more 'upbeat' stuff. Well, they tried to ask him, but he don't speak the italian. Not that her request would have been heard anyways :D :D pure dubstep night bizness.

The promoters were saying it was the best night ever. They let us lockin the club a full 40 mins after it was legally supposed to close! If that's not a good sign I dont know what is!!!

BIG UP--
Hatcha & his lady friend (sorry I didn't get yr name)
Simo
Shino
Daniele
Biga
many many others.

So, we got a night going now. Defo enuff heads showed that this'll continue. Dec. 9th YOUNGSTA is coming, and Jan 13th SKREAM. There's talk of a skream/hatcha b2b set as well. Should be a monthly ting.

salut

It quite surprised me as well. But happy as I am about Florence stepping forward, i'm still not completely convinced to actually pay a visit to this Exmud club. Fancy clubs with special membership cards sounds like the exact opposite of what I like to love about dubstep. I wonder what the expected dresscode would look like.

RE: ExMud...

un mio amico c'ha fatto il sito e non é ancora pronto...ecco xché tutti le dati non ci sono.... purtroppo é cosí. Cmq vi avvertiró prima delle serate di sicuro--fidatemi!!! Pier-ci si vede x la prox. Dec. 9. Di sicuro.

About the club- Exmud was in no way fancy or flashy. Florence has what we americans call 'blue plate laws'. No non-member establishment can hold late hours unless they call for membership. Membership is 10 euro and lasts only one year....and that's the way everywhere. I'm by no means a 'club' kind of guy...and I had a blast. Trust. The 'dubstep' vibe was alive and well--except there were a few more good looking women then you see in a club in london :D :D :D

leo,
sounds like the titties - always knew Seemo had it on.
bigs to bigga, danny, seemo, rufus, liam, ivan and shino. In short all the mudy boys.
See ya next week.
Oh, and check out some of the Marvinsuicide download mixes in particular marvinshow094. The 2nd tune is a nice ambient/bladerunner/john carpenter\dubstep banger. (marvinsuicide.org). No, fuck nice, it is sick. really.
